Mid-Level Systems Engineer - Splunk Administrator — Annapolis Junction, MD

Responsibilities The Mid-Level Systems Engineer - Splunk Administrator supports a critical cyber mission by administering, modernizing, and securing enterprise Splunk infrastructure and cybersecurity toolsets. The role combines hands-on Splunk engineering with cyber defense, continuous monitoring, incident response, vulnerability and risk assessment, security architecture, and systems integration across computing, network, and enclave environments. The engineer works closely with government and contractor teams to ensure systems are secure, compliant, reliable, and scalable while developing and implementing solutions that strengthen enterprise security monitoring and mission effectiveness. #MDFSP Qualifications Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. • Fourteen (14) years' experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. • Demonstrated experience with Splunk and in planning and leading SystemsActive TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required Highly Desired: • Certification – Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or other advanced certification • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Benefits : Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees supporting this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap, and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan. Target Salary Range $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
