What STEMJobs is

STEMJobs is three tools that share one job: getting your resume past the software gatekeepers and in front of a human recruiter.

  1. A curated US job board. On the homepage we list roles posted in the last 3 days from Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby-hosted ATS boards, with filters for remote/hybrid/onsite, salary, company size, and — importantly — jobs whose descriptions mention visa sponsorship. The listings are fresh (jobs older than 3 days drop off automatically) and every apply link goes directly to the employer, not a scraper middleman.
  2. A free ATS score checker. Paste any job description and your resume — or drop in a PDF/DOCX — and get a match score, the exact keywords the JD wants, which ones are missing, and any formatting choices likely to break Workday, Taleo, or iCIMS parsers. No account. 5 free checks per IP per day.
  3. An AI resume analyzer. The deeper analyzer compares your resume against a JD across six categories — technical skills, job title alignment, experience, education, soft skills, and certifications — and returns ready-to-paste bullets rather than vague advice.

Who built this

I'm Sai Ram, a DevOps and cloud engineer with about a decade running production infrastructure — mostly AWS, some GCP, a lot of Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD plumbing at fintech and SaaS shops. I've also sat on the hiring side, filtering candidate pipelines for platform-engineering roles inside Greenhouse and Lever.

Two things convinced me to build STEMJobs. First, I watched genuinely strong engineers get filtered out because their resume said "AWS" and the JD said "Amazon Web Services", or because a two-column design silently scrambled their chronology inside the parser. Second, I have a lot of friends on H-1B or STEM OPT who need to find sponsor-friendly employers fast and were spending hours filtering job boards by hand. This site is what I wish existed for them.

Everything is free. There's no upsell, no paid tier, no "premium" score. The site makes small revenue from unobtrusive ads and that's it.

How we're different

  • Freshness bias. The board only shows jobs posted in the last 3 days. You will never apply to a 3-month-old listing here.
  • Visa sponsorship is a first-class filter, not a footnote.
  • Additive suggestions. The checker tells you exactly which bullets and skills to add, not "improve your resume".
  • Private by design. Your resume text is used to score one check and is not stored, shared, or used to train models.
