Senior Systems Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s Experimental Systems Group (ESG) is hiring Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Seal Beach or El Segundo, CA.   We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with proven expertise in requirements development and management, verification and validation (V&V), system architecture, technical specifications, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs). The successful candidate will be adept at transforming stakeholder needs into clear, actionable requirements, developing and sustaining system-level architectures, authoring and overseeing technical specifications and ICDs, and coordinating verification activities across all system components to ensure seamless integration and performance. Position Responsibilities: • Elicit, analyze, decompose, and allocate system and subsystem requirements from stakeholder needs and higher-level system specifications • Create, edit, and maintain well-structured, testable requirements using a requirements management tool • Develop and maintain system architecture descriptions (functional, logical, physical) and traceability from requirements to architecture and verification • Author and maintain specifications and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) that define interfaces between systems and subsystems; manage ICD baselines and change control • Develop verification plans, procedures, and test cases aligned to requirements; coordinate and perform verification activities (analysis, inspection, demonstration, test) and document results • Support integration activities and resolve interface mismatches and discrepancies between subsystems through engineering change proposals or interface updates • Maintain requirements traceability matrices and demonstrate requirement closure for reviews and audits • Participate in design and technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and provide status and risk assessment for requirements and verification • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, test, suppliers, manufacturing, product management) to ensure requirements and interface compatibility • Support configuration and change control processes for requirements, specifications, and ICDs   Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement • Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) • 5+ years of related work experience • Experience with satellite systems or space related applications Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Practical experience applying systems thinking concepts to support complex system development • Effective presentation skills for communicating technical information within teams and to stakeholders • Experience producing systems engineering artifacts such as requirements, specifications, and interface documents • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field required; advanced degree is a plus • Experience supporting system architecture development under guidance of senior engineers • Participation in IRAD or similar technology development projects is desirable • Basic understanding of project management principles and processes • Familiarity with Digital System Engineering (DSE) tools and model-based systems engineering practices     Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.   Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.   Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.  Elements of the Total Rewards package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.    The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.    The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.   Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.     Summary pay range: $146,200.00 - $197,800.00   Language Requirements: Not Applicable Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
