Associate Test Engineer — USA - Heath, OH

Come build your career with Boeing!   Position Responsibilities: • Support a project management-based gated process using the phase-gate process • Assist in the interpretation, analysis, and development of engineering data (blueprints, data sets, specification, logic diagrams, electrical circuit schematics, etc.) to support requirements • Assist in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods • Develop test procedures and the instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform each test and minimize risk • Design component and sub-assembly level hardware or software, and use analytical tools to verify design • Assist in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of internally overhauled or third party-procured test hardware • Identify solutions to basic problems and support the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools • Assist in evaluating test performance data for accuracy, quality, or fidelity. Alert senior engineers of off-nominal data and prepare test reports for review prior to delivery to customer • Assist in the development of test debrief material • Collaborate with program management, design authority engineering groups, operations, and government customer counterparts • As assemblies, instruments, cables, and interfaces are replaced due to obsolescence, additional engineering responsibilities will include creating or revising and reviewing drawings and documents and conducting test and qualification of the overhauled test equipment • Test software development and/or support experience using LabVIEW and/or Microsoft Visual Studio, or other comparable programming languages Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement • 2+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education • 1+ years of manufacturing, production, or electrical/instrumentation engineering experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): • Proven record of either developing or executing test plans or test procedures • Test software development and/or support experience using LabVIEW and/or Microsoft Visual Studio, or other comparable programming languages • Laboratory testing, data analysis, instrumentation, system integration, or manufacturing (specifically assembly, integration, and test) experience • Government or DoD program experience Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
