Job Title: Systems Engineer - DevOps Kubernetes Support Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support DevOps activities for the Zero Trust Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ZT ICAM) program and deployments for DoD customers. Working under the direction of senior engineers, this individual will assist with automated build, testing, packaging, deployment, monitoring, and release activities; support Linux and containerized environments; and help maintain repeatable deployment configurations and technical documentation. The position requires foundational DevOps knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes, along with an interest in expanding those skills while supporting an integrated enterprise solution across varied customer environments. Responsibilities • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, automated builds, testing, artifact packaging, and release activities. • Assist with the deployment and sustainment of containerized applications in Kubernetes environments under the guidance of senior engineers. • Maintain configuration files, scripts, deployment manifests, repositories, and version-controlled engineering artifacts. • Help configure and troubleshoot workloads, services, namespaces, ConfigMaps, Secrets, storage, networking, and access controls. • Monitor pipeline and deployment results; review logs and system health information; document issues; and support corrective actions. • Assist with container and dependency scanning, vulnerability remediation tracking, software bills of materials, and release evidence. • Support DISA and other DoW customer deployment activities by collecting environment information, executing documented procedures, and escalating technical issues. • Develop and maintain setup instructions, deployment checklists, troubleshooting notes, release documentation, and other technical guides. Qualifications Required • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. • Seven years of experience as a systems engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. • A bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. • DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher, if the COR determines that the position's activities include CWIP activities. • Five years of additional systems engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Desired • Experience with RKE2, Rancher, Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes package configuration, or single- and multi-namespace deployments. • Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Terraform, or comparable automation and infrastructure tools. • Exposure to security scanning, vulnerability management, software bills of materials, artifact signing, container registries, or software supply chain practices. • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, PKI, mutual TLS, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or enterprise identity and access management concepts. • Experience supporting classified, disconnected, air-gapped, or otherwise restricted customer environments. • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, or Git-based repositories to manage work and technical documentation.   - What You Can Expect:  A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
