Associate Systems Engineer Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer located in Heath (Columbus), OH. Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons, and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration, and test.   The InterContinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Minuteman III Guidance Subsystem Support Contract (GuSSC) Sustainment Engineering program is looking for motivated, talented engineers to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area. The selected Associate Systems Engineer product responsibilities will include engineering execution of sustainment efforts supported by the local Heath (Columbus), OH team. Support will include execution of the Program Work Structure (PWS), including schematic design, electrical component obsolescence studies, and circuit modeling in support of the local Heath team.   Position Responsibilities: • Systems Design Engineering Principles: Knowledge of systems design and scientific principles to develop, design, analyze, test, and validate solutions for complex systems and sub-systems. • Process Modeling: Apply advanced knowledge of modeling techniques (e.g., mathematical modeling, simulation, design of experiments, operations research) to analyze a system. • Analytical Skills (Technical): Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. • Analyze and Interpret Engineering Data:  Ability to analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development, and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.). • Systems Modeling and Analysis: Ability to create a physical, functional, or logical representation of a system entity, phenomenon, or process. Ability to use system models for rigorous development of data and information to aid technical understanding and decision‐making across the life cycle. • Integration: Ability to assemble a set of system elements and aggregates into the realized system, product, or service that satisfies system requirements, architecture, and design. Systems integration focuses on the evaluation of interfaces, data flows, and control mechanisms, checking that realized elements and aggregates perform as predicted by their design and architectural solution, since it may not always be practicable or cost‐effective to confirm these lower‐level aspects at higher levels of system integration.   Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement • 2+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education   Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): • Experience working with USAF or other DoD agencies • Experience with creation, change, and design of electromechanical assemblies • Experience with analog and digital design, manufacturing, and sustainment • Experience engineering for obsolescence and sustainment   Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.   Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
