Job Responsibilities: Coordinates quality planning including control plans, FMEA's, audit/inspection details, sample submissions and training plans for inspection.  Apply measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures that ensure quality standards are met. Monitors, reports and improves customer satisfaction performance.  Implements and maintains plant wide quality systems. 1.    Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies. 2.    As a member of the APQP team of Bowling Green Metalforming, help to develop the APQP documentation (Control Plan, PFMEA, Process Flow) and drive the team to maintain these documents as changes are made. 3.    Support the program manager with product launch and engineering change activities including coordination of pre-production runs and buyoff on pre-production material. 4.    Demonstrate proficiency with and utilize the AIAG Core Tools for APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. 5.    Demonstrate proficiency in IATF /VSA Standards, Customer Specific Requirements, and MAFACT Standards to support the team to develop strong quality and business management systems, identify nonconformances, manage the audit program and lead team in continual improvement.  Certification as an IATF lead auditor or auditor may be required based on the assigned area. 6.    Responsible for preparation of inspection instructions, visual aids, and check sheets, as required. 7.    Develop/approve gauging for new programs or gage revisions to existing programs. 8.    Perform audits as required. 9.    Demonstrate proficiency in GD&T to support dimensional improvement in components / final product and lead team in continual improvement. 10.    Manage, support and develop positive working relationships with customers and suppliers.   11.    Lead problem solving activities with a cross-functional problem-solving team using specified root cause analysis tools. 12.    Lead and schedule the annual Spill Detection reviews with the CFT & update PFMEA/Control Plans as needed. 13.    Manage Technicians as assigned in direct area of responsibility. 14.    Identify Program CIC’s and manage/audit supplier controls to address pass-through characteristics that impact BGM and its customers. 15.    Manage customer corrective action submissions and ensure timely, accurate and effective responses are provided.  Monitor ongoing activities to ensure corrective actions are maintained long-term. 16.    Responsible for PPAP sample submissions to customers, review, and approval of supplier PPAP submissions. 17.    Promote and practice our “safety first” policy by addressing any hazards, defective equipment or unsafe situations immediately. 18.    Recommend and encourage others to recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity, and work environment (Continual Improvement Process).  19.    Perform Control Plan and support process audits as required. 20.    Develop/approve weld verification documentation for existing and new programs. 21.    Lead implementation of new weld verification inspection processes and data reporting. (ex.
