Group Summary:

Job Responsibilities:
Leads process development, production start-up, production support and the implementation of engineering changes and process improvements. Ensures environmental aspects of production are considered.
1. Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
2. Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
3. Establish, monitor and control timeline planning.
4. Review, monitor and control tooling and capital budgets.
5. Prepare presentations to engineering and management teams.
6. Travel to customers/vendors to investigate quality concerns; tooling build process and buyoffs.
7. Must be capable of handling projects from inception to completion.
8. Deal with customers concerns.
9. Prepare cycle-time analysis and/or time studies, to facilitate line balancing.
10. Prepare reports, charts and other documentation required for engineering records and projects.
11. Participate as required in all ISO14001 and ISO/TS16949 activities such as PFMEA and APQP incentives.
12. Work in a safe, organized, effective, efficient and proactive manner.
13. Assist in developing material handling logistics.
14. Provide assistance with internal instruction of new equipment or processes.
15. Coordinate and assist in activities for successful attainment of customer quality milestones.
16. Assist in setting up preventative/predictive maintenance requirements.
17. Co-ordinate all required actions to resolve quality issues.
18. Assists in Special Material Runs requirements and Service Part requirements.
19. Support FEC procedure with specific outline responsibilities.
20. Provide product design direction based on part manufacturability.
21. Create and Maintain Standard Work documents as required by Section 3.01 in the Mafact Assessment.
22. Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
23. Perform other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
- High School diploma or GED
- Post-secondary Engineering education or related experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in troubleshooting, repairing and improving systems preferred
- Operate standard office equipment preferred
