Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.   Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide support to the Missile Defense Agency Next Generation Software Office to accelerate and modernize the development, integration, and delivery of resilient and secure Missile Defense System software. What You'll Be Doing: • Provide technical and engineering analysis to support development of on-demand and cloud-based software for system of system development, integration, and testing. What Required Skills You'll Bring: • Active Secret clearance. • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline specifically related to area of specialty and 10+ years of related professional experience • Advanced degree may be preferred at this level • Design, development, and management of software libraries and Cloud-based software architectures and requirements. • Experience in hardware in the loop and cloud-based testing to support software development and delivery. • Experience in management and review of application programming interfaces and interface control documents   and enabling software utilized in Cloud-based and HWIL environments. • Experience in artificial intelligence development and tooling and agentic operations. • Ability to works independently, as a team member, or leading teams/ tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/ scientific problems. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: • Masters degree in a STEM field with 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project. • Cloud and Containerization: Practical experience with software containerization concepts (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure) and migrating legacy enterprise applications to cloud-native architectures. • Agile and DevSecOps: Strong working knowledge of Agile and Lean software development principles, particularly within a secure DoW DevSecOps framework. • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of or direct experience deploying IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to establish reproducible, auditable, and secure cloud environments. • Experience using modern configuration management and version control platforms (e.g., Git) to enforce policy-as-code, baseline management, and compliance configurations. • Top secret clearance or the ability to qualify for one. Security Clearance Requirement: An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​ This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
