Systems Engineering Manager Company: The Boeing Company The Intelligence Systems (IS) program within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) / Space, Intelligence, and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Herndon, VA. IS delivers complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. This role offers the opportunity to lead Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) efforts across diverse, mission-critical programs.   Role Overview: As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 15 Systems Engineers at various career stages, including senior Subject Matter Experts. You will provide technical leadership while supporting engineering execution across multiple disciplines, driving innovative, agile teams through the full product lifecycle. This role combines people management with hands-on technical oversight and collaboration with program managers and stakeholders.   Position Responsibilities: • Lead develop and motivate a SEIT team to meet program and business objectives • Collaborate with capability leads and program managers to address staffing and skill needs • Support recruiting talent development and retention efforts • Provide technical oversight for system architecture design artifacts and engineering deliverables • Maintain strong relationships with customers stakeholders partners and internal teams • Contribute to proposal development and business growth initiatives • Participate in skills management and ensure continuous workforce development • Support the identification and implementation of best practices and process improvements   Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement • This position requires an Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance with an active Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required) (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)  • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Demonstrated skills in performing and/or leading Systems Engineering teams • Ability to collaborate across multiple programs to support program needs • Knowledge of systems engineering products and life cycle/process tools • Proven track record in developing employees and working cross functionally to meet staffing challenges • Demonstrated experience executing on multiple concurrent programs/projects or product lines with customers that span the Intelligence Community and DoD, both inside and outside closed areas   Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Demonstrated skills and experience using modern task tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, VersionOne, etc) • Experience working with requirements management systems such as DOORS • Experience working with customer technicians and activity planners • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools • Demonstrated experience supporting program milestone events as well as CDRL generation and maintenance to include test plans and report writing • Experience with the use of the System Engineering Best Practices (SEBP) and how they apply to successful program execution • Demonstrated experience with Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA) processes and practices • Familiarity with Cost Account Management using Boeing processes and procedures, including Earned Value Management (EVM)   Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process     Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.   Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.  Elements of the Total Rewards package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.    The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.    The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.   Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.     Summary pay range for Manager (Level K): $151,300.00 - $204,700.00 Language Requirements: Not Applicable Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
