You will support critical finance business functions for customers around the world while meeting availability goals and ensuring robust system performance. As an Engineer in the team, you will take part in in the architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale Infrastructure and complex software systems. You will get to leverage your experience and expertise to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems. You will communicate your ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome for your team and customer. You enjoy collaborating with others to increase the effectiveness of the overall team. Your design, and implementation decisions should set a great example to other engineers. You will also have the opportunity to impact the technical decisions in the broader organization as well as mentor other engineers in the team. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field - 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps or applications development experience - 2+ years of building complex software systems experience - 2+ years of storage devices experience, or experience in similar technical roles - Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service, or experience in Linux/RHEL - Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities and experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting - Experience with automation or working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent - Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP - Knowledge of security best practices - In-depth knowledge of & experience deploying and operating Windows, Linux or other UNIX variants in a datacenter environment or AWS cloud. - Experience in building infrastructure as code, Chef recipes, AWS Lambda, etc. - Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence - Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS - Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases, or experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites - Experience in any of the following: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - Experience with server, storage, networking, or large-scale distributed systems - Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.) - Knowledge of hardware platforms - Experience with AWS Services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
