This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance national security through advanced IT solutions. You will collaborate with experienced professionals in an innovative environment, guiding a high-performing team to deliver excellence. The GMOS contract aims to provide world-class IT support by modernizing and maintaining applications and infrastructure using an integrated IT Service Management approach. Responsibilities:  • Lead design of standardized operating environments for end user devices using automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across 350+ facilities, developing gold master images and configuration baselines • Enable enterprise rapid provisioning and deployment of standardized end user device configurations supporting 70,000+ workstations through automated imaging solutions and zero-touch deployment technologies • Design comprehensive local infrastructures ensuring sufficient end user device capacity, offline capabilities, and operational continuity during disconnected communications at remote facilities • Ensure all end user device operating environments conform to DOS and DT security requirements supporting 40,000+ users through implementation of security baselines, STIG configurations, and encryption standards • Lead evaluation and recommendation of new end user device equipment, hardware and software solutions, and cloud services conducting proof of concept testing and compatibility assessments • Support ongoing modernization efforts designing end user device infrastructure evolutions including cloud-managed endpoints, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and unified endpoint management (UEM) • Transition end user device resources from decentralized deployments to centralized or cloud-oriented environments consolidating infrastructure and implementing centralized management platforms • Develop comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design specifications, standard operating procedures, and configuration guides • Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure engineers, and security personnel to ensure endpoint architectures meet functional and security requirements • Serve as technical expert for end user device architecture, providing leadership on complex design challenges and driving innovation in endpoint management technologies Qualifications:  Required – • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience in related fields, such as end user computing architecture, desktop engineering, systems administration, infrastructure architecture, or endpoint management at enterprise scale; equivalencies considered. • Active Secret Clearance • Proven experience with enterprise-scale end user device architecture, designing standardized operating environments, and supporting distributed workstation deployments across multiple facilities • Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex endpoint architecture projects, leading technical teams, and coordinating architecture initiatives across distributed enterprise environments • Expert-level proficiency with Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11), desktop virtualization, imaging technologies (SCCM, MDT, WDS), and endpoint management platforms • Excellent leadership abilities with proven experience planning and leading endpoint architecture initiatives, functioning as a subject matter expert, and supervising endpoint engineering teams   Desired – • Prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of State • Professional certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DTM), or ITIL Foundation • Expertise in virtual desktop infrastructure - What You Can Expect:  A culture of integrity.
