Temporary Senior Associate – Reporting Dashboard Engineer (Power BI / Tableau)
Position Summary
RSM is looking for a Temporary Senior Associate – Reporting Dashboard Engineer to join our Risk Consulting practice and support complex Financial Services and Global Banking engagements. This role is ideal for a data and analytics professional with extensive experience designing enterprise reporting solutions, building dashboards, and transforming data into actionable business insights.
The successful candidate will possess strong Power BI and/or Tableau expertise, advanced SQL capabilities, and experience working with data warehouses, dimensional data models, and modern data platforms. This individual will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to develop scalable reporting and analytics solutions that support operational, risk, regulatory, and executive reporting needs.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models, semantic layers, and reporting datasets to support enterprise reporting initiatives.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze, validate, reconcile, and transform large datasets.
• Build and support ETL/ELT processes and data integration workflows across multiple source systems.
• Create executive dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and management reporting packages.
• Implement data quality controls and reporting governance standards to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Investigate reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve data discrepancies.
• Support user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and ongoing production support.
• Document reporting solutions, processes, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, dashboard development, or data engineering.
• Advanced SQL development experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience designing dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience supporting data warehousing and reporting environments.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Risk Management, or Regulatory Compliance environments.
• Experience supporting regulatory reporting, risk reporting, audit analytics, or data governance initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of data quality management, reporting controls, and governance best practices.
• Experience supporting large-scale data transformation, modernization, or reporting enhancement programs.

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $38 - $58 per hour
