About the Engine Team The Database Engine team builds the core technology behind SingleStore, including query execution, optimization, storage, data ingestion, reliability, and performance. This is an opportunity to work on systems software that powers a production database used at significant scale. About the Role As a University Graduate Software Engineer, you will work with experienced engineers to design, implement, test, and improve production-quality database software. You will own well-scoped projects, contribute to technical discussions, and develop a strong foundation in systems and database engineering. Your work may include: • Developing features for the SingleStore database engine • Improving query execution, optimization, and runtime performance • Working on storage engines, indexing, transactions, or data management • Building reliable distributed-system components • Investigating and resolving performance, scalability, and correctness issues • Writing production code, tests, documentation, and technical designs • Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners Projects are delivered through regular release cycles, giving you the opportunity to see your work move from design to production.
