Join our team as a Senior Engineer and help build technology that enables fraud analysts and investigators to detect, investigate, and mitigate fraud and abuse across Target. You will build scalable tools and workflows that make investigations faster and more effective. A key focus will be using AI and automation to reduce repetitive manual work, streamline investigator workflows, connect data and tools, and surface relevant insights more quickly. You will work closely with engineers, analysts, and investigators to turn these opportunities into reliable, production-ready solutions while keeping investigators at the center of decision-making. We are looking for full-stack engineers with experience in technologies such as Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and React, along with an interest in applying AI and automation to real-world operational problems. About You • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred • 5+ years of professional experience in this role, or a relevant and similar role. • Experience working with Kotlin/Java, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL DB • UI development experience using React • Familiarity with LLM based coding assistants in everyday work • Experience with Spring Boot Framework, Gradle, any unit & integration testing framework • Willing to work in a team-oriented environment • Interested in cyber threat or fraud detection  • Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, and adaptive learning • Excellent written and oral communication skills This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN lo cation the role is assigned to and virtually , depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
