Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access. Within the Experience Validation organization, the Field Integration and Testing (FIT) team pioneers end-to-end network field validation—testing Leo's full signal path from the customer terminal through gateway infrastructure to the internet, in real customer environments that labs cannot fully replicate. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive the execution of FIT's core testing operations and its international expansion as Leo scales across territories and new hardware. You will be the connective tissue between FIT, Leo engineering, the Beta teams, and the Amazon Devices Field Quality Engineering (FQE) partnership, keeping test coverage aligned with a fast-moving release cadence of new customer terminals, firmware, and mobile app builds. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will own the program mechanics across FIT's three prioritized workstreams. For core operations, you will coordinate pre-release testing of new hardware and app releases before they reach Beta cohorts, create and drive resolution of bugs and quality issues, and track the health and uptime of the Solution Lab CT fleet as a shared resource for Leo teams. You will coordinate execution of country-specific functional test cases (e.g. regional IP routing, KPOP routing, Legal Interception) and B2B use cases—across Solution Labs in the Americas and EMEA, and support Solution Lab and demo center expansion into future markets. In the process ou will help operationalize the FQE partnership so expert testers can be dispatched to any country on short notice. Throughout, you will manage schedules, dependencies (including Beta Ops provisioning, hardware delivery, and spot enablement), open items, and risks, and maintain clear, data-backed status for leadership. Success in this role requires strong technical program management judgment, comfort with networking and connectivity concepts, and the ability to coordinate many moving parts across teams, vendors, and geographies. You will define and report the metrics that show testing is on track and you anticipate dependencies and risks before they slip. You will write and communicate crisp and concise updates The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly organized TPM who thrives in ambiguity, is comfortable working closely with engineers and field testers on production hardware and real integrations, and is energized by the challenge of proving out a brand-new satellite connectivity experience country by country. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. A day in the life You start your morning reviewing program dashboards and triaging any overnight issues that need immediate attention. By mid-morning you are leading a cross-team sync, aligning engineers and product partners on upcoming milestones and surfacing risks early. After lunch you might deep-dive into a technical design review, asking the right questions to ensure the proposed solution accounts for upstream and downstream impacts. Later, you draft a status narrative for leadership, distilling complex details into a clear story that drives decisions. - 3+ years of technical product or program management experience - 2+ years of software development experience - 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Working knowledge of networking or connectivity concepts (e.g., IP routing, DNS, DHCP, latency, packet loss, VPN) - 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - Experience in satellite, telecommunications, wireless/RF, networking, or other connectivity/hardware domains - Experience managing test, integration, verification, or field-testing programs involving physical hardware and third-party equipment - Experience with defect/bug management processes and driving issues to resolution with engineering teams - Experience coordinating lab operations or distributed field testing across multiple countries - Familiarity with regulatory/compliance verification (e.g., lawful interception, RF compliance) or B2B/enterprise connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, enterprise routers) - Experience standing up or scaling operational programs into new international regions - Experience defining Go/No-Go or launch-readiness frameworks Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
