IT Engineer — Miami

Responsibilities Peraton is seeking an IT Engineer to assist with maintaining our development infrastructure. Our organization develops TT&C and Satellite Mission Management and Scheduling software in support of our mission critical customers and the OS/COMET COTS software product. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting various IT infrastructures and tools, ensuring that all technology works efficiently, securely, and is properly maintained. The candidate needs to have a solid technical background and the ability to manage complex IT systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operation of all hardware, software, and network systems. Qualifications Required Qualifications : • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree • Additional 4 years of experience will be considered in leiu of a degree • Experience in IT support, system/network administration or a similar role • Experience with using the Linux operating system • Knowledge of CyberSecurity practices • Problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Sec Clearance – U.S. citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications : • Working Knowledge of: • IT automation tools and scripting • AWS • General Networking • Red Hat OpenShift • OS/COMET TT&C Product • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Target Salary Range $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
