Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. ABOUT THE TEAM We're seeking a Senior Offensive Security Engineer to grow Anduril's offensive security practice. The ideal candidate has documented background in offensive security. They will be able to conduct complex security architecture reviews, understand modern threats and exploits against hardware, software, and people, and work hand in hand with engineering teams to build resiliency into Anduril. ABOUT THE JOB • You will execute offensive security engagements across the entirety of Anduril, spanning: hardware, firmware, software, cloud infrastructure, web applications, internal and external networks, and physical security, to name a few. • Your scope covers every frontier of offensive tradecraft: social engineering your way into a hardened facility one week, discovering zero-days in satellite radio modules the next, prototyping an autonomous red team AI agent, or working out of a confidential test range to break a flight-critical weapons system. • The work moves fast and wide. You will routinely own engagements end-to-end across the entire chain. This is a breadth role by design: we want a versatile professional who is just as capable of compromising a Kubernetes cluster or web application as they are of dumping firmware off an undocumented SoM or reverse-engineering a proprietary RF protocol. • This is a high-consequence role with genuine real-world impact. Our systems are deployed in operational environments around the world; when security fails, the stakes are existential. Our adversaries are sophisticated, nation-state actors; this is not a check-the-box compliance exercise. Your mandate is simple: hack everything, find novel vulnerabilities constantly, provide insight into the security posture of whatever the target is, and contribute to making Anduril more secure around the world. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Assess the security posture of Anduril-built technologies and personnel, as well as the third-party solutions we use. • Provide expertise to other Anduril teams on real-world attack vectors and enable engineering to implement proper resolutions. • Plan for, build, and maintain capabilities needed to execute truly unique red team projects. • Discover novel vulnerabilities, perform long-form security research, and create offensive security prototypes, tooling, and infrastructure. • Stay up to date with the most cutting edge of offensive security across all technologies, ranging from LLMs to RF. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 5 plus years of experience hacking, penetration testing, red teaming, or executing offensive security engagements across 2 or more of the following domains: • Hardware (Embedded Systems, IoT, OT/ICS, Transportation Systems) • Reverse Engineering & Firmware analysis • Software (Thick/Thin Client, Desktop Applications, Containerized Applications) • OT/ICS • 2 plus years of experience hacking, penetration testing, red teaming, or executing offensive security engagements across 4 or more of the following domains: • Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Network (Internal, External) • Application (Web, Mobile) • Wireless & RF • Host based • Source code review • Physical (Social Engineering, Phishing/Vishing/*ishing, Lock picking) • AI Integrated • Experience executing offensive security engagements from scoping to delivery. • Experience with rapid prototyping, leveraging LLMs/agents, and discovering novel vulnerabilities. • Public examples of security research, technical walkthroughs, projects, or tools. • Strong, professional communication skills (written and verbal). • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Exceeds the above-listed requirements. • Familiarity with anti-tamper and reverse-engineering mechanisms. • Experience assessing the security of military technology. • Demonstrated leadership in offensive security engagements. • Deep understanding of security architecture for robotic platforms. • Experience executing offensive security engagements at a nation-state level.
