This document outlines the employment prerequisites and job responsibilities for the position Assistant Supervisor.
What You'll Be Doing
• Lead the day-to-day production, scheduling, staffing, and auditing activities to ensure customer requirements are met including deadlines and company/quality standards.
• Production Problem Resolution including line status, and problem escalation.
• Ensure that required materials and documentation are available to the line at all times.
• Responsible for line communications, including news, technical issues, and line performance status.
• Provides guidance, support, direction and leadership through positive interactions with personnel during daily operations.
• Work with department leadership to identify training needs.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP’s, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
• Maintain and distribute data related to attendance, labor, quality and others as needed.
• Assist department leadership in resolving issues and conflicts.
• Write NCR’s.
• May perform other duties as needed.
• Ability to lead production of complex products
• Ability to motivate team and peers to achieve results
• Ability to read and understand Manufacturing Work Instructions is required.
• Ability to visually inspect and identify particulate/foreign matter and distinguish between colors as required by FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices
• Capable of holding strict confidentiality and discretion.
• Prior leadership and/or training experience preferred.
What You'll Bring
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical device regulations is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Physical Requirements: Dynamic Lifting capability: Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds from floor to waist, lift 23 pounds to shoulder and lift 2 pounds from shoulder to overhead.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This is a manufacturing environment regulated by the FDA and many other work rules to prevent damage to the product we manufacture.
Some of those work rules include but are not limited to:
• Wearing a static protective smock at all times while in the work area
• Wearing a ground wrist strap and plugging that wrist strap into the working table.
• Working in close proximity to other employees.
• Working in an environment that is temperature and humidity controlled.

The estimated base salary for this position is $54,400.00 - $74,800.00 USD annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
