The Opportunity Micron is seeking a transformational Senior Director of Technology Engineering & Innovation (TE&I) to lead the strategy, engineering, operations, and modernization of our global infrastructure ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining and executing Micron's vision across enterprise networks, cloud platforms, data center strategy, database services, infrastructure engineering, automation, observability, and global infrastructure operations. As a key member of the TE&I leadership team, you will drive innovation, operational excellence, and strategic transformation while building a high-performing organization focused on business outcomes and exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing multi-year technology strategies, leading large-scale infrastructure transformations, driving operational performance, developing talent, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. What You Will Do Lead Global Infrastructure Strategy & Transformation • Define and execute Micron's global infrastructure vision and strategy. • Develop multi-year roadmaps for: • Enterprise Network Services • Network Architecture • Data Center Strategy and Modernization • Cloud Platforms and Engineering • Database Services and Engineering • Infrastructure Automation • Platform Engineering • Observability and Monitoring • Reliability and Resilience Engineering • Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) • Drive large-scale modernization initiatives focused on: • Cloud transformation • Infrastructure simplification • AI-enabled operations • Service resiliency • Automation at scale • Cost optimization • Technical debt reduction • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on infrastructure investments, risk management, emerging technologies, and innovation opportunities. Drive Engineering Excellence • Lead global engineering organizations responsible for network, cloud, database, and infrastructure platforms. • Establish modern engineering standards and practices, including: • Infrastructure as Code • Platform Engineering • Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) • DevOps and Automation • Architecture Governance • AI-assisted Engineering • Create scalable, secure, and resilient technology platforms that accelerate business outcomes and operational effectiveness. • Champion engineering excellence through innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement. Deliver World-Class Operations • Own the health, performance, availability, and reliability of Micron's global infrastructure environment. • Lead and evolve the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) to deliver proactive, predictive, and highly efficient operations. • Establish operational excellence programs with a focus on: • Service reliability • Availability • Performance • Customer satisfaction • Automation • Operational maturity • Cost efficiency • Drive improvements in service delivery through data-driven decision making, observability, and continuous service improvement. What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in infrastructure engineering, operations, platform engineering, or enterprise technology organizations. • Experience leading large-scale global teams supporting mission-critical environments. • Proven experience developing infrastructure strategy and executing large-scale modernization initiatives. • Deep expertise across: • Enterprise Networking • Cloud Services • Data Centers • Database Technologies • Infrastructure Operations • Automation Platforms • Reliability Engineering • Experience leading geographically distributed teams and managing through organizational change. • Strong business acumen, financial management, and vendor management experience. Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline. • Experience leading cloud-first transformation programs. • Experience implementing AI-driven operational capabilities. • Proven success driving organizational transformation and culture change within complex global enterprises. • Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industry experience preferred.
