Grow. with KBR!   KBR is seeking a Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Engineer to support a Space Systems Command (SSC) Program Management Office (PMO) located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct Operations & Sustainment (O&S) activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable and protected communications for our Nation’s warfighters.   We are looking for an experienced, proactive Sustainment Engineer who is a self-starter capable of autonomous, on-the-job, learning/growth while working in a collaborative environment of small teams. The ideal candidate will employ their skills and experience to execute SE&I activities for GBS and provide reliable subject matter expertise supporting the GBS Joint Program Office in identifying integration issues and recommending solutions pertaining to obsolescence and/or changing operational environments. The position will support the GBS Program Manager (PM) with internal/external technical meeting support, authoring and updating technical program documentation, requirements management, system architecture and integration, and test and evaluation. Duties include, but are not limited to, integration of new hardware/software, systems engineering, network architecture, evaluating/assessing system modifications for interoperability issues and providing technical assessments. The position will author and present technical documentation including engineering studies, technical white papers, and applicable reports.   Join our high-functioning, high-performing MSEIT Sustainment Integrated Product Team (IPT) and be an important part of directly and positively affecting Joint and Allied combat readiness as they employ MILSATCOM and NC3 space systems, terminals and software applications worldwide during full spectrum military operations.   Why Join Us? • Innovative Projects:  KBR’s work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions. • Collaborative Environment:  Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace. • Impactful Work:  Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.   Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • An active DoW SECRET clearance to be considered for this position • Coordinate with numerous stakeholders/customers from DoW agencies to commercial industry that translate to tangible, positive, mission-focused results • Learn and apply established government SEIT processes and procedures in support of GBS activities • Lead technical discussions – systems engineering, systems architecture, data transmission, troubleshooting, test and evaluation, logistics, fielding transition, cybersecurity working groups, etc • Support cross-program meetings - e.g. Wideband Working Group, DISA Teleport/Gateway meetings, DoD Information Network meetings, etc. • Provide engineering analysis related to system architecture changes due to current/future policy, industry standards, obsolescence, interface changes, AF 1067’s performance improvements and system modification, etc. • Author and deliver technical documentation including engineering studies, technical white papers, technical procedures, technical requirements, project implementation plans, test plans, and test procedures and test reports • Review production/sustainment CDRL’s and recommend approval/disapproval on a basis of technical evaluation • Support, draft, and/or maintain key technical products/documents – network diagrams, cybersecurity assessments, authority to operate package, plan of action and milestones • Support, draft, and/or maintain program planning products/documents – information support plan, DoDAFs, integrated master schedule, trade studies, white papers, decision briefings, systems engineering plan • Support development of requirement documents - system requirements document (SRD), technical requirements document (TRD), operation requirements document (ORD), concept of operations (CONOPS), etc. • Support technical aspects of the GBS receive suite production and sustainment including circuit troubleshooting and design • Support, coordinate, manage and provide test engineering expertise to DT/IT/OT - review test plans, test procedures, test data analysis, deficiency reports, etc • Travel:  Up to 20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government customer direction   Work Environment: • Location:  On-site • Travel Requirements:  Minimal • Working Hours:  Standard   Qualifications:   Required: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited university • 6+ years of experience working with military or DoW civilian clients and managing professional relationships • 6+ years of Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) experience • 4+ years of experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment • 4+ years of relevant systems engineering experience • 4+ years of relevant systems integration experience • 4+ years of relevant experience engaging government customers to advance engineering projects and initiatives at varying degrees of complexity • Knowledge of DoW system sustainment • Must be able to demonstrate engineering principles and concepts • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; able to sort through complex issues and develop clear solutions, provide in-depth technical assessments and identify issues and risks • Effective interpersonal and team player skills in order to engage at both the peer and management levels • Ability to coordinate with numerous stakeholders/customers from DoW agencies to commercial industry • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) • Clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills; able to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to the customer • Highly-organized individual, capable of handling multiple competing priorities; able to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a dynamic environment   Desired: • 4+ years of experience in a DoW program office with an understanding of DoW acquisition processes • 4+ years of experience working with strategic & tactical MILSATCOM space systems • MILSATCOM network engineering across DISA hosted networks, packaging and routing data from sources to Teleport/Gateway sites • Expertise in data transmission security, data encryption, or video broadcast • Experience operating or maintaining DISA hosted networks and the related MILSATCOM infrastructure and/or support equipment • Possess CompTIA Security+ certification with an understanding of network architecture   Basic Compensation:   $110,500 to $138,100 in Colorado   The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
