Job Title: Sr. Systems Engineer (MBSE) Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: Lead systems engineering efforts for Department of Defense intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyber systems. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will: • Lead Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) initiatives to establish and maintain digital engineering baselines for intelligence, EW, and cyber systems • Develop and manage Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts and system views to support program architecture decisions • Ensure Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) compliance across defense systems and programs • Develop product roadmaps and technology insertion strategies for next-generation C5ISR capabilities • Provide System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering leadership to establish technical baselines and architectural direction • Interface with government program offices and other defense contractors on complex system integration efforts Responsibilities: • Lead MBSE methodology implementation using SysML and digital engineering tools to transition from document-centric to model-centric engineering • Develop and maintain DoDAF operational viewpoints (OV), system viewpoints (SV), and technical standards viewpoints to support capability analysis and system integration • Establish and enforce MOSA, SOSA, and CMOSS compliance across hardware and software architectures to enable interoperability and technology refresh • Create and maintain product roadmaps identifying technology gaps, modernization opportunities, and pre-planned product improvements (P3I) • Perform requirements analysis, architecture trade studies, and capability mapping across tactical and enterprise intelligence systems • Lead technical baseline reviews, Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), and architecture governance activities • Support SIGINT/EW modernization, open architectures, and advanced prototyping initiatives • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, software engineering, AI/ML, and test & evaluation • Develop technical documentation including system architecture documents, interface control documents (ICDs), and engineering artifacts • Mentor junior systems engineers and provide technical guidance to integrated product teams Qualifications: Required: • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (required) • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline • 10+ years of systems engineering experience with complex DoD systems • Demonstrated experience leading MBSE initiatives using tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar SysML platforms • Proven experience developing DoDAF products (OV, SV, TV) for ACAT programs or major system acquisitions • Strong understanding of MOSA, SOSA, and CMOSS open architecture standards and implementation • Experience with C5ISR, SIGINT, EW, or intelligence systems architecture and integration • Knowledge of systems engineering processes per IEEE 15288, EIA 632, or DoD systems engineering guidelines • Experience with requirements management and traceability using tools like DOORS, Jama, or equivalent • Strong technical writing and communication skills with ability to brief senior leadership • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical direction Desired: • International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) CSEP or ESEP certification • Experience with Army or DoD intelligence and electronic warfare systems • Familiarity with CMOSS/MORA interface standards and VPX architectures • Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized system deployments • Experience with AI/ML integration into intelligence systems • Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity authorization processes • Experience with Agile systems engineering and iterative development approaches • Knowledge of geospatial data frameworks and Multi-INT integration • Familiarity with cloud architectures and hybrid on-premises/cloud system designs • Previous experience supporting government intelligence program offices • Experience with digital engineering and digital thread concepts - What You Can Expect:  A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
