As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you’ll help build and manage services that detect and automate the mitigation of cybersecurity threats across Amazon’s infrastructure, including advanced persistent threats. You’ll work with security engineers, data scientists, and other software development engineers across multiple teams to develop innovative security solutions at a massive scale. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve. - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Experience with large-scale data analytics and data warehousing - Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (hundreds of millions/billions of rows) of data - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - Experience with AWS Services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
