This Senior Android Software Engineer, Firefly Growth & Monetization role at Adobe was posted in the last 5 days. Before applying, run your resume through the checker on the right — most rejections here are keyword and formatting mismatches, not qualifications.

The Opportunity Adobe Firefly is Adobe's flagship generative AI product, and our Android team builds the Growth and Monetization experiences that turn curious first-timers into confident, productive creators — while shipping brand-new AI creative features for mobile along the way. It's a team-first, architecture-first group that cares as much about how something feels as whether it works, and a Senior Android Engineer sits right at the center of that mission. There's a second surface too: helping maintain the Behance Android app and the internal SDKs that publish and display Behance content inside Photoshop, Lightroom, and other Adobe apps. We're after an engineer who leads with judgment across code, product, and design, keeps a clear point of view without clinging to it, and makes the people around them better. Sound like a fit? Let's talk!   What You'll Do The work runs from interaction design through production, so expect to: • Own Firefly's Growth on Android — shaping requirements with Product, Design, and Growth partners, and turning fast-moving Firefly capabilities into polished native features. • Instrument, measure, and iterate: run and read A/B experiments, reason about funnel data, and treat every release as a chance to lift activation, retention, and revenue without cutting corners on quality. • Direct AI-assisted and agentic coding tools with strong judgment — critically evaluating their output and refactoring where needed. • Write clean, well-tested Kotlin using Modern Android Development practices (Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Clean architecture, Navigation), backed by unit and UI tests and a healthy CI. • Make the scope and priority calls that balance speed and impact, and keep the shared codebase fast and maintainable. • Review code and mentor engineers in a non-managerial leadership role, setting the standard by example. • Keep the Behance Android apps and SDKs current as platform and product needs change. How We Work This team has a distinct, fast-moving operating model, and the people who thrive here run with it. We prototype first. We experiment before we ticket! A rough working build behind a feature flag, demoed to the group, beats a polished spec every time — and the work only breaks into small, reviewable pull requests once the idea has earned it. We design in ambiguity. Requirements are often thin on purpose, so much of the experience gets defined in code by referencing live Firefly surfaces across web, desktop, and iOS, then refined with Product and Design. We stay fluid across platforms. The team is primarily Android but open to iOS — interpreting iOS- and web-first designs, porting from Swift when it helps, and arguing for Android conventions where they matter. We build in Adobe Spectrum 2 and prototype in Figma, so translating Material conventions into Spectrum counts for more than stock Material. We work in the open. Everyone keeps their status current, communicates the what, why, and trade-offs concisely, and demos their work in sprint reviews.   What You'll Need to Succeed • 7–10 years shipping customer-facing Android apps on Google Play, with specific work to point to. • Deep Kotlin (and/or Java), ideally in Jetpack Compose. • Real product and UX instinct: comfort inside a design system like Adobe Spectrum 2, an eye for when an interaction feels off, and the words to explain why. • A testing habit (unit and Compose UI) and respect for a healthy CI. • Genuine comfort with ambiguity and a fast-changing GenAI surface — getting a prototype in front of people quickly, even from a thin spec. • Clear, precise communication across technical and product contexts. Even Better If You Have • Growth or monetization experience: paywalls, subscriptions/IAP, activation funnels, experimentation platforms, or retention systems. • Experience integrating SDKs into host or third-party apps. • Strong expertise in multi-threading, memory management, and performance profiling. • Hands-on time with Adobe Spectrum 2 and Figma. • A strong sense for accessibility and localization.
