Senior Technical Product Manager - Agentic AI, Velocity Labs — Seattle

The Velocity Labs team mission is to think beyond the confines of the normal product-orientated approach and to discover new ways to apply and embrace agentic AI. We have noticed how the open-source community, and some of our competitors, experiment with new ideas, and deliver initial products fast. With Velocity Labs we are building an organization that can move faster, explore more, and make sure AWS is at the cutting edge of innovation in agentic AI. You’ll join a deeply technical team that includes applied scientists, software developers, and other technical product managers. You’ll have the opportunity to partner with a wide variety of teams that are involved in building foundational agentic services for AWS, as well as a wide variety of agentic services that target different personae (e.g., software developers and business users) and use cases. The industry is at an inflection point related to foundation models, generative AI and agentic use cases; you will be a key player for AWS in this historic period of innovation. We are specifically looking for a Principal Technical Product Manager who brings core skills in working backward from customer needs and also a high degree of skill in partnering with experts in automated reasoning. It is neither necessary nor expected that you be an automated reasoning expert, but it is critically important that you have the ability to develop collaborative relationships with such experts so that together you can understand what is possible, then work together to make that happen. Key job responsibilities Lead the definition and delivery of services and tools that help enterprises and system integrators automate the modernization of their code assets. Identify new product opportunities and write their business proposals. Drive the coordination and clear communication of a multi-product roadmap, working across multiple groups. Work with engineering and design teams to define fast-paced, but realistic schedules. Create the pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market plans. Enable the sales team with product training and collateral. Create and drive a community engagement plan. - 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience - 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience - Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market) - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
