Job Description : Role:  Software Engineer - Infrastructure Department: Data Platform Location Hayes Valley, San Francisco, CA Basic Job Details Job Type: Full Time Work Model: Hybrid Remote Days: Monday & Friday Office Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Job Description As a Software Engineer on our Data Platform team, you will design, build, and maintain the core data infrastructure that powers Baton's near real-time streaming platform. You'll own data pipelines end to end from ingestion through processing to consumption, and work closely with data stakeholders across engineering, product, and ML to translate complex data challenges into scalable, maintainable solutions. Baton's data platform is the backbone of intelligent freight operations at Ryder scale, and this role exists to accelerate its growth. You'll take ownership of our streaming and messaging architecture, contribute to data model development, and refine the API layers that surface data across the organization. Working within a high-trust, high-autonomy team, you'll move fast, operate in production from day one, and build systems that directly impact how Ryder and its 50,000+ customers plan and execute freight.
